Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs) can cause measurement errors when the cable under test is plugged directly into the machine. To overcome this problem a fibre optic launch lead can be used to help compensate for the errors. The OTDR launch lead provides a solution for improving the accuracy in both multimode and singlemode fibre measurements.
